Authors Interview YOU...Talk to Melissa Bradley & Win a FREE Book!

Today, I continue my new series...with a twist. Instead of the standard author interview, where you read all about the author, I thought it would be cool to turn the tables and let the authors interview you.

Here's how it works:
1. Read and respond to the questions from the author below (just put your answers in the comment section).
2. Leave a way to contact you should you win a FREE book.

That's it! This week Melissa Bradley, author of the bestselling sexy horror romp, Maxie Briscoe: Werewolf, offers up a FREE copy of her scary, steamy tale to one lucky reader just for answering the questions below:

1. If you could give away a book to open someone up to the joy of reading, what would it be and why?
2. What draws you to an author you’ve never read before?
3. If you could meet any character from a favorite story, who would it be? Why?
4. What book or books do you reread from time to time?
5. What is your perfect reading experience?

Just post your answers in the comments section below. Melissa will choose a winner within 48 hours and will announce it here and, hopefully, be in touch with you!

  1. Hi Melissa,
Loved, loved, loved Maxie Briscoe: Werewolf!!!
1 - The Giver by Lois Lowry because it is an enlightening story of a drab, over-organized world and the young boy who realizes there is a better way.
2 - The cover and the blurb
3 - Sampson from the James Patterson Alex Cross books because he's HOT.:)
4 - One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.
5 - A good suspense and an entire day to indulge myself which I know is never going to happen. lol

  3. 1. Harry Potter for kids eight and over. I did that once and the kid, a boy who never liked to read, developed a love of reading, so I know that works. For adults, AHEM! I would choose my own Second Generation, because even if I did write it, it's a wondferful, informative and award winning generational novel that everyone who reads it really loves, from the reviews it's gotten.

    2. Generally word of mouth from someone I trust to know my reading tastes and who knows the difference between a great book and a so-so one.

    3. That would be your Maxie, because she's funny, she's strong, and she's intelligent.

    4. Anything by Michener or Alex Hailey, all intelligent, deeply engrossing novels based on reality and history.

    5. A comfy chair, a good reading lamp, a quiet, rainy day, a glass of good wine, and plenty of free time. I'm a slow reader (and fortunately, a slow drinker) ;-) so probably while I'm on vacation would be a good time.

  4. Thank you, Beth. Maxie would probably show you a helluva time. I'm a slow reader and drinker, too, so I think your reading experience sounds perfect.

  5. 1) Any of the Xanth series by Pierce Anthony, because the puns in those fantasy stories are what had me coming back for more. Reading was an adventure and exciting and made me use my head!

    2) A unique plot line, or striking cover.

    3) I would want to meet Nathanial from the Anita Blake series. He is growing up so fast and seem so sweet and handsome. And I want to see floor length auburn hair and lavender eyes in person.

    4) The Anita Blake Series, Jet Mykles Heaven Sent Series, and Seduced by Virginia Henley.

    5) Cuddled on the couch with a glass of wine and my hubby's head in my lap.
